One of my favorite business books remains Jim Collins' Good To Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap...And Others Don't.
In it, Collins emphasizes that transformational companies first focus on "getting the right people on the bus" before determining where to drive it.
That thinking has stuck with me over the nearly 20 years since founding Vision Coaching. In fact, one of the very first on the bus right from the beginning was was Marilyn Orr, a friend and a phenomenal coach.
Marilyn is still with Vision Coaching today (with a few detours along the way) and is an integral part of our success in her leadership in our company.
Over two decades, Vision has carefully grown our roster to more than 25 internationally accredited coaches. They bring diverse expertise, complementary strengths, and shared values to our clients. Each addition to our team has been aligned with our vision to transform leadership through coaching.
And now this month I am excited to announce that Peter Stoddart is Vision Coaching’s Chief Operating Officer.
Pete’s depth of experience in business combined with his strategic mind and tremendous organizational skills make him an exceptional choice.
I’ve known Pete for many years, first getting to know him through the various restaurants he owned. Over time, he became a friend, and then he asked if I could coach him as he framed up a future beyond the restaurant world he was a part of for so long.
It was through coaching that Pete himself aspired to become a coach, enrolling in the graduate executive coaching program at Royal Roads University. With his natural coaching abilities, boundless enthusiasm and his vast experience as an entrepreneur, we were delighted to have him join Vision Coaching as a coach in 2023.
Pete’s depth of experience in business combined with his strategic mind and tremendous organizational skills make him an exceptional choice for what is a brand new role for Vision Coaching.
Poised for growth
This strategic move comes at a pivotal time. Vision Coaching is poised for growth – expansion into new markets, with enhanced services, and through innovative programs that bring the power of coaching to more leaders and organizations.
Our proprietary program, Using the Coach Approach™, has resonated deeply with leaders across various sectors. We're seeing firsthand how organizations transform when their leaders develop and apply coaching skills. The feedback has been remarkable.
With Pete's entrepreneurial background and operational expertise complementing our existing leadership and support team, we're now positioned to bring these transformative experiences to many more organizations.
Pete's journey – from successful business owner to consultant to certified coach – gives him a unique perspective on the challenges leaders face and the potential coaching holds to address them.
I invite you to read more about Pete's appointment as COO in the announcement on Leadership Unleashed. His story exemplifies what we value at Vision Coaching – continuous growth, courageous leadership, and unwavering commitment to helping others succeed.
Sincerely,
Dave Veale

I’m usually allergic to game pages that try way too hard, but this one felt pretty chill and readable. I was just skimming, and the point landed fast without me having to dig through a bunch of fluff. I clicked into The Drift Boss halfway through and it kept that same simple vibe — you see what the game is about right away, and the whole one-button drifting thing sounds easy until you realize timing is basically everything. Also nice that it isn’t blasting you with distractions while you’re trying to figure it out. The page is broken up into clean headings with short blocks, so scrolling doesn’t feel like wading through a wall of text.
