Marilyn Orr, who has served as a leadership coach at Vision Coaching from its early days, has been appointed Coaching Services Manager.
In the role, Marilyn will support Vision Coaching’s leading, and growing, roster of coaches as well as the leaders they are coaching.
This includes overseeing the crucial best-fit matching between coach and coachee, recruiting coaches, onboarding coachees, and check-ins with both to ensure a strong and productive relationship.
“When Marilyn agreed to take on the role, it was music to my ears. I can’t think of a better person to take on this role today than Marilyn,” says Dave Veale, Founder & CEO of Vision Coaching.
“She not only has an intimate understanding of Vision Coaching and a deep understanding of coaching, she has an incredible way with people. More importantly, we have a deep trust in, and respect for, Marilyn that serves everyone well.”
Marilyn joined Vision Coaching after training as an executive coach at Royal Roads University in 2006. In those early years, it was just Dave and Marilyn. Together, they raised awareness of leadership coaching and served early clients.

While Marilyn has never left the coaching roster, she did go off to pursue her own entrepreneurial dreams, which included her launching her own coaching business and then a sustainable wellness and event centre that she and her husband built from the ground up in Texas. She has since sold the centre in Texas, and now lives in Maine.
She’s delighted to be taking on the new position.
“It feels like I’ve come full circle – I did my walkabout, built my business, sold my business. And now I am back at Vision Coaching. It feels like a homecoming,” Marilyn says.
“And I get to support both the coaches and coachees. That just fits my personality to a tee – I love working with coaches and I adore getting to know the people they coach.”
