Using the Coach Approach™
Using the Coach Approach™ is our proprietary coaching skills program for leaders and managers. Learn what coaching is, how it is being used to transform the work environment and master two coaching skills you can start using immediately.
Leaders are turning to coaching as an effective way to lead and manage. And they are getting powerful results. Find out what all the excitement is about and how you can benefit from the power of coaching.
You’re involved in everything because your reputation is on the line.

When your name is attached to the outcome, stepping back doesn’t feel responsible. So you stay close, answer the questions, and fix things early, even when you know it’s costing you time and focus.
Using the Coach Approach™ helps leaders build teams that trust each other, take ownership, and deliver, without you having to carry every decision yourself.
The Gap Nobody Talks About
Because you’re reliable, people come to you first. You stay close to the details to maintain high standards. You answer questions quickly and step in before small issues turn into bigger ones.
Over time, this creates a pattern. The same problems keep resurfacing. Your day fills up with decisions and fixes that should be handled by the team. Leading starts to feel more like managing everything yourself.
The shift isn’t about working harder or adding new tactics. It’s about letting go of the habits that got you here, so responsibility and decision-making can sit with the team.
What Makes This Different
1
Most Training Adds More. This Removes What's in the Way.
Leaders don't need more frameworks to memorize. They need to unlearn the habits that aren't working anymore. The instinct to jump in and fix. The need to have every answer. The belief that doing it yourself is faster than teaching someone else.
That unlearning is uncomfortable. But it's where the real shift happens.
2
A Structure They Can Actually Use
We teach a simple way to run coaching conversations so leaders don’t have to guess or improvise. They know when to ask questions, when to listen, and how to help someone move from thinking to action.
It gives conversations shape without turning them into a script.
3
Practise, Not Just Theory
This isn't a lecture. Participants coach each other in live sessions and get real-time feedback from certified coaches. They learn by doing, stumbling, adjusting, and doing it again. That's how skills stick.
4
Spaced Over Time So It Lasts
We don't cram everything into a single day. The program is delivered over weeks, giving participants time to practice in the real world and come back to debrief on what worked and what didn't.

Take the mystery out of coaching
“What was great about our session…they didn’t just try to apply a theory, but taught us how to fish. They took the mystery out of coaching and made it relevant and applicable to us!
My groups learn by doing and this session provided them the needed practise time. It was great to have a clearer understanding of coaching.”

This Fits Into the Work You’re Already Doing
Step 1: Discovery Call. We start with a conversation to understand your team, your challenges, and what success looks like. No pitch. Just a real discussion about whether this is the right fit.
Step 2: Customized Program. We design a program around your people, your culture, and your goals. This includes training delivered over time, plus live practice sessions where participants coach each other and get real-time feedback.
Step 3: Measure Results. We track progress throughout. Participants rate their coaching confidence before and after the program. We consistently see a four-point increase on a 10-point scale. You'll know exactly what changed and why.
Are You an HR Leader?
If you're an HR Business Partner or People & Culture leader, your challenges are different.
You're not just trying to coach your own team. You're trying to shift how the entire organization develops people. You need to move from being seen as administrative support to being a strategic partner who shapes culture.
We have a version of this program designed specifically for you.
Don't Take Our Word for It
"After implementing the coaching framework, I saw an overnight energy shift in my team. Communication barriers dissolved, and trust was re-established almost immediately."
Matt McKenna, Senior Wealth Advisor
"My inbox blew up with feedback from directors calling it the best training they'd ever received. It changed how I was seen in the organization."
Melinda Whalen Wicks, Talent Management
"They didn't just try to apply a theory, but taught us how to fish. They took the mystery out of coaching and made it relevant and applicable to us."

You Probably Have Questions
Who is this program for? Managers, team leads, and senior leaders who were promoted for their technical skills but haven't been trained to lead people. Also HR professionals who want to embed coaching skills across their organization. Learn about Using the Coach Approach for HR
How is this different from other leadership training? Most programs add more. We help leaders unlearn. We focus on replacing old habits with coaching skills that actually stick. And we don't disappear after the workshop. The program is spaced over time with live practise and feedback built in.
What if my leaders are skeptical about coaching? Good. Skeptics often get the most out of this program because they're willing to question what isn't working. We've delivered this in traditional environments where soft skills training usually gets eye rolls. It works because it's practical, not preachy.
How long does the program take? The program is delivered over several weeks, not a single day. This spaced approach helps the learning stick. Participants practise between sessions and come back to debrief what worked and what didn't.
Can this be delivered in person or virtually? Yes. We’ve delivered the program in boardrooms, on-site at industrial facilities, and virtually for distributed teams. The format is decided based on what works best for your organization.
What results can we expect? Leaders who ask more and tell less. Teams that solve problems instead of waiting for direction. Managers who stop doing everyone else's job and start developing their people. We measure the shift in coaching confidence before and after, and consistently see significant improvement.
