MANAGING DIRECTOR, COACHING & PROGRAM DELIVERY
LEADERSHIP COACH
M.A., CEC, PCC

In addition to being a highly experienced and talented coach, Marilyn serves as Managing Director, Coaching and Program Delivery for Vision, where she plays a key

role in shaping leadership development and culture transformation initiatives as well as supporting Vision’s team of coaches.

Marilyn has built a specialization in helping leaders strengthen their emotional intelligence, supporting them to lead with greater self-awareness, intentionality and

impact. She is equally passionate about helping organizations move beyond aspirational values by grounding them in specific, observable leadership behaviours that drive meaningful and sustainable culture change.

A core focus of her work is enabling organizations to adopt internal coaching skills as a practical mechanism for transforming culture – building leadership capacity, increasing accountability, and fostering more effective communication at all levels. Marilyn also works extensively with leaders and teams to deepen their understanding of psychological safety – what it is, how to actively cultivate it, and the measurable benefits it unlocks in engagement, innovation and performance.

Marilyn has studied Psychology, Counselling, and Executive Coaching. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto and her Master of Arts in Counselling from Providence Seminary in Manitoba. She later obtained a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching (CEC) from Royal Roads University.

As both a leadership and mentor coach, Marilyn is also a training partner on EQ-i 2.0 with Multi-Health Systems Inc., where supporting the growth of emotional intelligence in

clients and coaches is both a strength and a passion.

She holds her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation with the International Coach Federation (ICF). Marilyn founded what is now the ICF Atlantic Canada Chapter and served a two-year presidency with the ICF Charter Chapter of Greater Austin,

Texas.

Over the past two decades, Marilyn has supported the growth and transformation of thousands of individuals and numerous organizations across Canada and the United

States.

Marilyn views executive coaching as an extension of the values to which she is deeply committed. She brings both presence and precision to her work – creating a space

where clients feel genuinely supported while also being meaningfully challenged. A lifelong learner with a deep love of people and possibility, Marilyn partners with clients

in their pursuit of excellence in both personal and professional growth.

Her commitment to building capacity through coaching is deeply personal. Through coaching, Marilyn has transformed her own life, business, and future. At her core, she believes in the power of coaching – and continues to experience its impact firsthand.

As a coach educator for the past 25 years, I have worked with many co-facilitators. Marilyn Orr stands out as one of the best I’ve worked with. The list is long of Marilyn’s attributes as a trainer, but her key strengths are her ability to effectively teach multiple levels of understanding, make the materials come alive through powerful storytelling and her ability to be flexible and meet any group where they are at and address their learning needs.

It is Marilyn’s nature to position herself as a learning partner with groups and that very thing invites exploration and inquisitiveness. She brings levity and a special brand of lightness to the learning atmosphere which catalyses participation and encourages learning in a creative and successful way. Any group would be lucky to have her!
