Confident in the long view

Updated: Sep 23, 2021

Friends,

I feel fortunate to live in a place where restrictions around the pandemic are easing, where life and business is returning to some semblance of normalcy. Stores are open, people are returning to offices or heading off on vacation and most businesses are ramping back up.

I am well aware there are many places, people and organizations who still struggle, and I feel for them. Naturally, we all want more regions to experience what is happening here in New Brunswick, Canada, but that doesn’t diminish the personal and professional challenges people are facing.

This is acutely so for the leaders and business owners I speak with, who are concerned about what comes next. Some work in rapidly declining sectors or sectors entangled in deep uncertainty. We can all wonder what lies ahead when so much feels out of our control.

“We are resisting the urge to succumb to the short-term view, clouded with uncertainty and tinged with panic. Instead, we are doubling down….”

The team at Vision Coaching finds solace – and confidence – in focusing on the long game: the long-term vision and development of our business.

We are fortunate that our business was, in many ways, already virtual and that many clients continue to see the value in developing their people through coaching. But, like everyone else, we didn’t know what would, and will, happen.

We are resisting the urge to succumb to the short-term view, clouded with uncertainty and tinged with panic. Instead, we are doubling down – developing new coaching programs, investing in building awareness around how coaching creates value, reaching out to clients to see how we can help, and more.

We continue to coach leaders and businesses through the challenges imposed by the pandemic, and look for ways to provide additional support to them. In the coming weeks, we will begin to roll out a series of free webinars we anticipate will provide valuable insights to leaders and organizations – additional details below.

As always, I hope you find value in what we are sharing with you today. I look forward to hearing from you.

Stay safe and healthy,

Dave
