Program Details • 6-10 modules, each module is ½ day • 360 degree assessment
Module Details We will customize your three/four-day program with 6-8 modules. Here are some module examples:
Leadership Principles • Facilitated discussion of individual’s professional & personal accomplishments • Agreement to Chatham House Rules • Discussion of David Rock Material • Teaching about leadership styles and trends • Increase understanding of each leader’s own style
Networking Skills • Interactive session discussing & practicing skills needed in business networking – internally & externally • Presentation skills
Business Communication & Etiquette • Each leader will make a brief presentation to the group on an aspect of Quiet Leadership • Leaders will be trained in our feedback model and will use it to give and receive feedback from the group regarding their presentation • Interactive session on appropriate conduct in various types of business settings and relationships • Meeting skills and standards will be taught • Written business communication overview and examples
Setting Effective Goals • Discussion of long-term and short-term goals in a Management By Objectives environment • Modeling of how to walk someone through a goal-setting session • Teaching on how to evaluate a goal with respect to achievability, measurability, etc • Presentation of relevant coaching skills and model to support leaders in helping others set goals effectively • Leaders will each be required to select personal development goals and examine barriers, resources needed, relevant strengths, reasons for previous failures (if relevant) and accountability requirements.
Conflict and Difficult Conversations • Discussion of dynamics that go into conflict • Completion of Adult Conflict Style Inventory • Overview of principles to use in difficult conversations • Modeling and practicing of specific skills
360 Reviews & Goal Setting • Each leader will be in one of two groups discussing the 360s with a coach • The afternoon will be a culmination of learning from the week, and translating the 360s into specific individual development plans. • The day will end with the entire group recapping their learning and commitments, and with some group exercises • Information for the next phase will be shared and details for accessing the blog, the coaches and other resources

Luctor et Emergo – ‘Struggle and Emerge’ Dave was guided by this philosophy when he played competitive hockey, and it has also served him well throughout his business career. With an Executive Coaching Certificate (CEC) from RoyalRoadsUniversity, he combines specialized training with a passion for people. He draws on a wealth of experience in the corporate and non-profit sectors. Dave began his career as a counselor to young offenders and youth with special needs. The skills and compassion that made him successful in that field serve him well in the corporate sector. Dave is one of the founders of Profiles Global (Atlantic) Inc., a human resource consulting firm specializing in behavioural assessments in the workplace. Profiles Global was established in 2000 to help organizations improve their management processes when dealing with important and costly people decisions. Dave has worked with companies across North America, including Deloitte and Touche, Xerox, University of New Brunswick, Cendant, RBC (Royal Bank), Government of New Brunswick, Rogers Telecom and Atlantic Wholesalers. She has studied Psychology, Counseling and Executive Coaching. She received her Bachelor in Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto in 1988, and her Masters of Arts in Counseling in 2003 from Providence Seminary in Manitoba. She recently completed her graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from RoyalRoadsUniversity in Victoria. Marilyn began her counseling career with a small, private practice, where she was primarily focused on marital therapy, assertiveness training and childhood abuse. She then broadened her focus to include training in the non-profit sector. There she focused on such topics as volunteer management, board development and organizational wellness. Since 2004, Marilyn has provided executive leadership to a human resource consulting and training firm. In this position, Marilyn has promoted leaders’ self-awareness and an appreciation of the unique strengths of team members. Organizations have benefited through improved team dynamics, communication and productivity. Marilyn views Executive Coaching as an extension of the values she is deeply committed to. Through her work with Vision, Marilyn is committed to work with clients on their own, unique, path to success.
